Our school strives to find the leader in all students. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation. The students I work with strive for excellence. They all inherently care about one another and continually make an effort to improve in all aspects.
I teacher EL's (English Learners) students, they are a group of amazing, funny, hard working students.
These kids inspire me every day! They are full of life, caring, supportive, a joy to work with and are eager to learn every day. My students come from all different backgrounds and come into school with very few experiences. I teach at a Title I school in Georgia. These students genuinely love learning. To give you an idea of the range of abilities, we have students who are non-readers in their native language, and students who are learning a third language (English) to students who can read at a high school level in their native language.
My Project
The materials that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly how we will enjoy learning with everything. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of numbers and help increase their vocabulary.
Interlocking Base Ten blocks will help my students understand concepts of place value by joining together to easily visualize quantities. In-Context vocabulary will help my students with the academic vocabulary words they’ll need to be successful in acquiring and mastering English as a Second Language.
