I'am a new PK-Sped teacher, I have learned that my students learn and play at the same time, My students love exploring and could really benefit form sensory items to continue improving motor skills that will help them with activities such as writing. Social skills that would help with communication and will encourage to play with others. Emotional skills these sensory bins serve as a tool for self-regulation. The focused exploration of different textures and the soothing effect of repetitive motions like pouring and scooping can help them calm, even in times when they’re feeling overwhelmed and misunderstood. Overtime they will be able to manage their emotions all on their own.
