My Students

Debate, like most sports, builds a child's character. Our schools population is comprised from a Title One community. Our students that make our debate team whole, look forward to their opportunities on a weekly basis to grow, as well as form healthy relationships with their teammates and coaches. Over the last four years, our team has gone from inexperienced and nervous to confident and well-respected debaters at local and city/statewide events. This year, our team has taken on students who have pervasive writing challenges, and also, consider English a second language that is now ingrained within our school community.

We are throwing them an awards dinner at a restaurant while we are in Washington DC for our outing.

The greatest memories of all come from those nights with your teammates and friends that you work so hard with. Rather than just giving out trophies in school, we would like to have a presentation that will last a lifetime.

My Project

We have established a wonderful team at our school, and would like to reward them in a memorable way with an Awards Dinner.
