Please help us get the necessary resources needed for our new Esports program at Piedmont Community Charter School. Esports is a growing program that is allowing students across the country to become part of a team and may lead to them furthering their education at the college level by doing things that not too long ago was frowned upon - playing video games! It is a very low-cost activity to get started and will help our campus standout by offering a varsity Esports program that stresses STEM fields and computer science, important future career paths
It will give our students who don't normally participate in school activities the ability to grow socially, work on team building, and become an active part of our school community!
We hope to see increased student engagement and retention at the school as we move forward with this competitive, team-focused activity. We are excited that we have the benefit of being accessible to so many more students due to the ability for virtual meetings. Eventually, we hope to create a fan experience that will increase school spirit.
We will use these new resources to compete in competitions across the region and build a strong Esports team for years to come!
