This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My name is Gina Sinchi, and this is my third year as a 3k Teacher in Staten Island New York. Working with little ones is a challenge but a rewarding experience. It's their first experience in a classroom, and it's my duty as a teacher to make them LOVE coming into school. And what better way, by making them feel excited to enter a welcoming learning environment! Just picture you as a parent dropping off your child at school and stepping into a colorful classroom. How will that make you feel? I know my first words will be, WOW!

I know that these materials will give my classroom the touch it needs to make it feel welcoming.

I want my students to go home and tell their parents about how much they love their classroom and of course their teacher (ME). I know that my charisma, humor, and passion are enough to make my students feel safe coming to school, but these materials will make it perfect.

These materials are what my classroom needs in order to provide an organized and welcoming environment. I can already picture a student walking to the cozy corner and feeling COZY because that is the purpose of a cozy corner. I will forever feel blessed and thankful to everyone for supporting me.
