Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The telephoto lens and photography equipment will provide my students with hands-on experience in a professional skill. By using high-quality tools, they will learn the technical aspects of photography, such as framing, focus, and composition, which will enhance their creativity and attention to detail. I aim to foster a sense of pride and ownership in my students as they capture important moments in school life. This project will also teach them to use their skills for community service, reinforcing the importance of empathy and giving back. My goal is to empower students to document school events and community activities, developing both their photography skills and a sense of responsibility. Additionally, by providing free sports photos to athletes and parents, they will learn the value of giving back to their community. My students are passionate about learning and eager to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. Their commitment to both personal growth and community service makes them stand out, and this project will help them channel their energy into something impactful.

The photography project connects with Arkansas Economics Standards by giving students hands-on experience in a real-world skill.

They learn how to create something valuable through photography, understanding the importance of quality work and how it can be used to help others. By offering free sports photos to athletes and parents, students see the impact of giving back to their community and learn the value of their time and effort. This project also teaches them about making choices, like how to use their skills for personal growth and community service. Through this experience, students not only build their photography skills but also learn how their actions can affect the community and the economy.
