This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Someone get a camera, quick!" "What, no camera?" Has this happened to you? You see a moment you want to capture but had no camera? We experience this all the time. Sharing stories through shots taken with a camera is necessary when sharing an experience. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Our class consists of students receiving special education services for various disabilities.

We are a below poverty level middle school located in the South Bronx, NYC by the famous Bronx Zoo and the beautiful Bronx River. Technology makes learning more fun. I have implemented the use of electronics to support teaching math and reading for Learning Disabled students. Please help us with your donation.

My Project

Some of our students aren't able to express themselves in written form. A camera can take a picture of an experience these students want to share, but just can't write down. Let's help them not be limited by their disability any longer! A class-to-home lending program will be put in place if we receive funding from generous donors like you. Students will be able to learn how to create presentations, using PowerPoint, and other creations such as brochures and menus with the use of these cameras. Literacy is key. The "Picture This" project will increase their chances for academic success for ALL types of learners. All students in our class will benefit from this donation.

Are you willing to help students who could use a hand in reaching their academic potential through accommodations, such as using cameras in the classroom to share their experiences without always needing to write? For those students who can write, they can create presentations and documents that will eventually be a skill which ensures job readiness. Won't you please make this project a reality for us?
