Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I currently have 28 4th grade students crammed into a small classroom in the Bronx. Because of this, 12 of our students are not seated by the board and always have to move to the front of the room for each lesson. I have these amazing surf desks chairs for them to use for each lesson so they can sit comfortably on the floor and still be able to write on the worksheets or notebooks. They love using these seats and say it's better than sitting on the cold floor.

However, these seats are becoming a safety hazard in our room and I want to be able to provide my students a safe classroom environment this year.

The chairs do not stack well in our room and keep falling over into our walking space. The students generously help me organize several times throughout the day but it's starting to take away from their learning time.

Please consider helping the class buy this amazing storage rack so they can keep the chairs! It would not only make the room look more organized, but it will also prevent the students from tripping over them throughout the day.
