This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Social-emotional learning is so beneficial and essential to children (especially kindergarten). SEL helps to promote increasing self-awareness, academic achievement, and positive behaviors both in and out of the classroom. For students to be successful in the classroom, they must first learn how to be successful in making good choices. This is such a crucial part of my job as an educator of young learners. With all these wonderful books I hope to teach my students about different feelings. As we learn about emotions I will also teach them all about different coping strategies. The fun extra materials will come in handy when creating an inviting and secure calming corner!
