My Project

Our kindergarten students learn best through hands-on, engaging experiences, and what better way to spark curiosity than with a STEAM-inspired outdoor picnic day? This project will provide students with the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) concepts in a real-world setting while enjoying a fun, memorable learning experience.

With the requested materials—magnifying glasses for nature exploration, building supplies for engineering activities, sun print paper for artistic discovery, and measuring tools for math investigations—students will actively engage in learning that encourages problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork.

These resources will allow us to turn a simple picnic into a dynamic learning lab, where students can observe insects, design mini picnic shelters, explore shadows, and practice math skills in an authentic way.

Our goal is to ignite curiosity, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a love for learning by connecting classroom concepts to real-life experiences. By incorporating STEAM into this project, students will think like scientists, create like artists, and problem-solve like engineers—all while enjoying the great outdoors!

What makes our students special is their natural enthusiasm for learning and exploration. They come to school eager to discover, question, and create. This project will allow them to develop essential skills in a fun, hands-on way, ensuring that learning is not just something that happens inside the classroom, but in the world around them.
