We are planning an all school and family Spring Dance and Concert for the K-5 students as well as our Special Ed students and parents. Our goal is for upper elementary students to present some dances to the audience. Then the upper elementary students will perform the accompaniment for a few dances while lower elementary and parents do those dances. Some of our dances will be directed toward the Special Ed students and their families.
There will be no wall-flowers at our Spring Concert School Dance.
Everyone will be involved at some point and in some way. To make this possible we are going to need some additional supplies. We need picks for the ukeleles so our instruments are heard well and yet protect the ukulele strings from hard picking and stress, jingle bells for our dancers (this will add some rhythmic sound and also help us keep our rows and teams clearly defined - the bell group and the non-bell group), additional mallets, special straps for the special ed students to hold instruments/mallets with, and another metallophone to add to the instrument ensemble.
