Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of the goals of the music department this year is to encourage more collaboration between all our music programs - Band, Chorus, Guitar, and Piano. As a part of that collaboration, we are planning to have some of our Guitar students accompany the Chorus in our Spring Concert. To do this, we are going to need Capos to help our Guitarists be better in-tune with the Chorus. Using Capos allows us to quickly pitch the Guitar into a better range for the singers while using more familiar chords.
Acquiring these Capos and Guitar Picks will allow us to encourage more collaboration between all levels of Guitarists and our other music programs, so our students can make music together and learn from each other.
We want our music program to perform together at every opportunity, and to be able to work collaboratively with many other musicians.
