This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 6th and 7th grade students need some things for their music class. In our piano unit we are lacking proper seating. Young students (who move often) would greatly benefit from comfort and adjustable seating as students come in all shapes and sizes. As students explore, they are missing out on the potential for better concentration, comfort and sensory input. The last thing we want is for a student to associate a valuable activity with discomfort.

We want every student in this district to experience music truly and positively.

These benches will aid in their exposure the most important musical tool outside of their voices... the piano.

Our students are curious, energetic, and inspiring. They are learning foundational musical skills that may change their lives for the better.
