Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items I am kindly requesting will solidify concepts in unit conversion, dimensional analysis, planning, problem solving and creativity. We have already built a model of the Orion spacecraft at a 1:65 scale and I plan to continue exploring other phases of the NASA Artemis mission. They will be designing and crafting moon rovers, housing facilities for a space colony, windmills and other fun stuff.

Our goal is to discuss physics concepts and at the same time build prototypes.

I have noticed how my students enjoy hands-on activities where they use their creativity. These projects really improve the understanding of the material, and increase the chances of more students pursuing STEM careers. My students really want to excel and take advantage of the opportunities created for them at our school.
