My Project

My students are very energetic and active. During indoor recess or brain breaks, they love active games/activities that allow them to move in different ways. While outside they enjoy playing with balls and running around; however, they need a variety of materials that will help them develop brain/body balance and also allow them to release stress/anxiety that comes with learning!

The following materials can be used throughout the day to allow my students to reset and refocus before learning occurs.

Not only will the materials be used during recess but I can use them during brain breaks or include them in my lessons. Research shows that brain breaks help reduce stress and frustration which can help children refocus. Also, exercise breaks will promote physical fitness and increase cognitive development!
