Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We've all experienced some personal hygiene emergency before—we've gotten to work and realized that we forgot to brush our teeth, our hands have been so dry it hurts, we've unexpectedly gotten our period with no supplies on hand, or we've checked our appearance in the mirror to see our hair out of whack and a pimple that came out of nowhere. As adults, we can run to the drugstore and get what we need. Students don't have the same luxury.

The products I am requesting will help students feel their best as they try their best in school.

Instead of thinking about how they look, students will be able to focus on what is happening in the classroom.

Having these products readily available in the school counselor's office, a trusted and accessible resource, will also help build rapport with students. Students will not only know where to go for a hair tie or comb, but also where they can talk about how they are feeling and get support.
