My Students

Our student athletes are truly excited about fitness, sports, and health, as well as their classroom learning. They come from all over the world, many of whom have just moved to the country in the past year. They speak a plethora of different languages including, but not limited to, Spanish, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, French, and English. The socioeconomic statuses of our families are equally diverse.

Our student's diversity creates a global community where we celebrate our differences and learn from each other's experiences.

The campus climate is one of tolerance and understanding. Our students and their families choose our school. They value their education and futures and deserve only the best.

My Project

We are requesting durable hula hoops to be used not only for hula hooping, but also for practicing a variety of movement skills including, but not limited to; jumping, balancing, leaping, and hopping. We will use the hoops as a tool to gain spatial awareness and to facilitate cooperative challenges.

All equipment will be used in an assortment of ways to master standards-based invasion; striking and fielding; net and wall; chasing and fleeing; as well as target games.

Our students also need a variety of sports balls depending on their skill levels. The requested foam and yarn balls will provide differentiated and non-intimidating opportunities for all our students to learn the multitude of skills associated with ball handling. The poly spots will be used not only as a spatial tool, but also in creative, non-traditional ways.

The basketball pursuit ball set will provide our students with a new versatile game to encourage active play and movement while improving numerous national physical education standards.
