Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Each year my students have the opportunity to earn "PE Money" in a variety of ways. This can range from perfect attendance, getting 100% on quizzes, winning class games, and helping around the class and school. Throughout the school year, I teach the students how to use a lot of these resources (basketballs, footballs, resistance bands, jump ropes, etc.) so they become familiar with them, and at the end of each school year, my students will be able to purchase these resources themselves and continue to improve their academic, athletic, and physical fitness abilities. They will also be able to use some of these resources (board games, books, etc.) to build bonds and relationships that will help them to grow and mature as young adults. Both emotionally and physically.
