Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have lost what the proper balance of physical education and using technology is suppose to be like. This project could potentially bring an opportunity to introduce that proper balance.

My students are located in the west side of Chula Vista in one of the more challenging parts of the city.

They are the type of kids who have parents working long hours just to make ends meet. My school is considered a Title I school with support beyond just education. Our campus has psychological services for students and parents, nutritional support, and medical services all located on our campus. My school serves as a central hub for our respected zip code in bringing the holistic well being for all families.

My Project

The resources I'm requesting include supplies for physical education and computer education. They include soccer ball bags, hoops, foam balls, a flag football set, bean bag toys, and flexible cones. I am placing a big emphasis on physical education, because our school is one of the top five schools that need support for our BMI records. I want to show my students that one can be creative and have in physical education. Lastly, and ironically, I want to encourage my students to code computer files and create models to print out on a 3D printer. I'm requesting one XYZ 3D printer and filaments.

Giving my students a traditional movement in physical educational activities and introducing the new wave of creating models for history and science projects will definitely be an opportunity to show them the proper balance of the 21st century student life style.

The PE equipment will allow my students to have a variety of games to play and learn from, as well as critically think. The 3D printer will affirm the coding that is being taught in class, and allow students to create models.
