This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Due to Covid-19, we have unfortunately seen a decline in students' physical health. Physical Education is more important now than it has ever been. Not only does moving help you to stay healthy physically, but the aspects learned in class give students the opportunity to practice critical social and emotion skills.

As a new school, we don't have a lot of equipment for students to use during our Physical Education classes.

This limits the activities that we are able to do with our students. The equipment will help to engage students in their physical education classes and help us utilize the spaces we do have while our school is still being built.

My physical education classes helped to choose the supplies they would like to see in their PE classes. We currently do not have enough soccer equipment, but it is a highly desired sport for our students. My class also follows the sports education model so we would love the equipment (pinnies, poly spots, moveable white board) to help show the teams/team spirit. The equipment that we receive will help to promote active and healthy lifestyles.
