Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with students with disabilities in high school and middle school. We’re part of the Special Olympics of New York in basketball. These items would be a game-changer for us in daily physical education and sports preparation and recovery.

Improved storage solutions would significantly enhance the efficiency of physical education classes and team practices, especially when relocating within the school building.

Having more equipment for yoga practice would benefit us in countless ways. The right equipment for yoga helps us improve coordination, stretching, breathing, and mental breaks. After or before team practice, we’ll have tools to help us warm up or cool down. Bolsters in restorative yoga or rest before or after participating could be a real help. They’d improve our practice and skills. Training our bodies in different sports will definitely help our basketball team.
