Help me give my students the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Curriculum that offer short engaging lessons supplement to our existing literacy curriculum and can be used for intervention support for students in 2nd grade and above who struggle to decode.
Phonological awareness is the ability to recognize and work with the sounds in spoken language and the research continues to show how important phonological awareness is.
The Heggerty Phonological Awareness will give my students short and engaging, practice that will perfectly supplement my existing literacy curriculum.
After reviewing the data of my incoming class I knew I needed to implement a strong science based program day 1 with my students. This curriculum will help my students build a strong foundation where we will see growth in decoding skills, syllable recognition, encoding, and most of all, confidence as a reader.
