My Project

I am an AIS Reading Specialist who works primarily with students in Kindergarten through grade 5 in small groups throughout the day. We use several materials throughout the sessions to engage the students in phonics and reading fluency instruction, as well as writing and comprehension. These materials include whiteboards, themed-elkonin (sound) boxes, mini erasers, highlighters, magnet boards, reading trackers, dry-erase markers/erasers, crayons, and sometimes Chromebooks.

Due to the vast number of materials my students use throughout their reading lessons, It is beneficial for students to have easy access to these materials so that more time can be focused on instruction, learning, and fun!

My goals for this project are to allow the students to be more organized with their materials, and for easier access to the tools they need for effective phonics work!
