My Students

My students are curious 7-8 year olds who love to learn about the world around them. Many of these kids have had disrupted learning over the past few years due to the pandemic and have “holes” in their learning we’re trying to fill.

My Project

I'm currently enrolled in LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) . This rigorous professional development course teaches the importance of phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and language.

Many of my second graders lack these important skills due to disruptive learning due to the global pandemic.

In mastering the fundamentals of reading instruction, I need some multi-sensory literacy tools. Listed below are items that would aid my literacy instruction. These tools will help my students daily during small group instruction.
