Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my school, we have done a lot of professional development centered around the science of reading. I have engaged in many activities outside of school. I love watching my students learn and grow while working collaboratively with each other. I am always looking for new and exciting activities to implement. When I came across these materials, I thought they would be perfect for our classroom! These materials will help me create new centers and give explicit small-group phonics instruction to my class. The manipulatives such as the cars and pop it’s will help them blend sounds to be able to read words. The calming strips and drawing board will help them with letter formation. All the materials will be used during small group instruction as well as centers to help promote reading.
