My Project

Although summer vacation is here, I can’t help but think about the wonderful group of students that I will teach in September. I want to ensure that they have the appropriate materials to help them have a successful school year.

The items requested will help students understand the writing process, improve their reading skills, and produce creative writing assignments.

The Lakeshore take-home pouches and the Lakeshore Design-Your-Own canvas tote bags will be used by students to store their workbooks, homework notebooks, homework folders, and independent reading books and transport them between school and home.

The four sets of Lakeshore’s 'Let’s Get Writing' Flip Books will be used by students to generate a variety of creative writing stories. Students will be able to put together scenarios, characters, plots, and settings to build hypothetical questions and create imaginative stories.

The Lakeshore Splash! Vowel Sounds Game, Blends and Digraphs Game and CVC Word Game will be used by students to develop skills in vowel sounds, blends & digraphs, and CVC words. The vowel flipcards are for students to build words with different vowel sound-spellings by changing the beginning, middle, and ending phonemes.

The School Smart black folders will be used to create a personalized writing process folder. It will have four sections to guide students step-by-step through the writing process. Additionally, students will use the Astrobrights filler paper and Staples brand-wide ruled filler paper for the different stages of the writing process. Lastly, the BIC Cristal Xtra Bold Fashion Ballpoint Pens and BIC Color Cues Pen Set will be used for color coding sentences, paragraphs, and essays.
