Help me give my students materials to teach phonemic awareness with a hands-on approach
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Sari's classroom raised $221
This project is fully funded
My Project
I am a speech therapist working in a Brooklyn school. All of my amazing students have Individual Educational Plans. These students require a hands-on multi-sensory approach to learn best
Due to the nature of their disability, my students have difficulty learning the alphabet and phonemic awareness.
Students require the support of visuals to learn and auditory/oral techniques to gain access to the curriculum through speaking and listening. Because listening and speaking are new skills for our students, we have to keep a creative and interesting approach to learning. These materials will provide students with fun, hands-on practice with letter sounds, sight-words, rhyming, and they will give them an opportunity to be independent. These kits will assist us with learning beginning, middle, and ending sounds along with rhyming and more!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
