Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I am leading a weekly student enrichment cluster, Phenomenal Photographers, of 11 students, from 2nd-5th grade. These students have expressed a strong interest in growing their photographic talents. These disposable cameras will allow students to learn the aspects of a traditional camera, while still providing them with a fun spin on photography.

With their own disposable camera, each student will be able to practice their photographic skills over the course of the entire semester, and will be able to see their improvement when their photos get developed!

I am passionate about photography in my own life, and want to give students an artistic and creative outlet to document the world around them. I am so excited to see how each student builds their own portfolio over the course of the semester, learning about their interests and talents through the lens of the camera.
