My Project

Foundational skills are so important for students to acquire in order to be successful readers. Tools that allow students to apply their phonemic awareness and phonics skills are essential in the classroom. The magnetic letter tiles, touch and read blends, digraphs, vowels, and cvc words as well as the word building center will allow my students to have various exposures to sounds within words in order to be successful readers while applying their phonics and phonemic awareness skills. The bins will allow my students to have a designated place to store these centers to make it easier to keep our classroom neat and organized.

Many students need a great deal of exposure to letters and words for them to be stored in their long term memory!

I aim to give my students as much exposure as possible using varied tools and resources. The resources in this project will be used to enforce and apply our phonics skills we have learned all year.
