Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students show a lot of effort and energy into their activities and deserve a personalized recognition. It is very different when a student is recognized personally for their efforts than when a general recognition is made, it shows in their reactions and you can see their faces change in a positive way when they are named individually.

In my experience as a coach and teacher, I have seen when the students are given trophies or awards and they do not individualize the students by name, nor have the awards stated what the occasion was, or any info about the event.

It was general and did not make them feel special. I would like to make something for them to feel special now, and also look back at when they're older and remember the events that took place and remind them that they were part of something great.

With this project I believe that my students will have a higher self-esteem and be proud of their achievements. Their confidence will grow knowing that they have their names on their trophies or awards that they worked so hard for, and they can feel that all their work and effort has a lot of value and is recognized by the teachers and the school. The laser engraver will make this possible.
