Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Research shows that there is a link between dehydration and poor cognitive function in children. Children who are dehydrated are less able to concentrate and focus in class. Generally 54% of students are under dehydrated on a daily basis.

Drinking water throughout the day helps support a student immune system.

Hydrated students have fewer headaches, fewer stomachaches, and are not as sleepy during class. Drinking water promotes all around health. All of this is essential to help a student learn to their greatest potential.

Having water bottles for our students would help us keep our students hydrated, healthy, and learning. I come from a Title I school, and many of our students cannot afford to purchase water bottles on their own. This project will help me provide them for those students.
