Personalized Keepsakes for Preschoolers: Empowering Students Through STEAM Sublimation Printing

My Project

Our high school students, enrolled in advanced Child Development classes, operate a free, six-week, hands-on preschool program for the community. This immersive experience provides them with invaluable early childhood education training while fostering creativity, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

To enhance the preschool program, we are seeking a Sawgrass SG500 Sublimation Printer and sublimation blanks.

This equipment will allow students to design and produce personalized keepsakes for each preschooler, including sippy cups, mugs, t-shirts, tote bags, and pencil pouches that will have each student's name on. These unique items will make the preschool experience even more special and memorable for the children.

In addition to keepsakes, students will create reusable shopping bags to serve as book bags for sending home arts and crafts. This not only promotes sustainability but also helps keep materials organized for families.

Students will apply STEAM concepts in a practical setting, from digital design to the production of physical items. They will develop skills in creativity, technology integration, and project management. This initiative bridges classroom learning with real-world applications, preparing students for future careers while enriching the preschool program for our community’s youngest learners.
