Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic, devoted, and creative learners. They come to school ready for success each day with a burst of excitement. I provided planners for my students the past two years and the increase in homework being returned was tremendous. These planners help students become independent at a young age.

Our school is a Title I school in a high-poverty community.

The majority of students receive free lunch and many come early for free breakfast. Many of the students are placed in temporary housing. My students come to school every day with a drive in them ready to learn. Most of my students have learning disabilities, however, that does not stop them from trying. I want to provide them with the resources it will take to make sure their work gets done at home and a reliable source for parent-teacher communication.

I plan to have my students record all their homework and important information in their planners, so no information gets lost. Parents will also have a place to check in on their children and see if homework is being completed.

These planners will help young students learn how to get and stay organized and they will use this skill for the rest of their educational journey! Please help support my future students!
