My Project

What breaks my heart at the end of the year is seeing my students journals, ones they poured their heart out day after day, now in the trash can. Stacks upon stacks of them go right in the trash on the last day of school. So I thought of a possible solution: Give my students individualized journals where they can reflect on their life, their dreams, and their aspirations in a personal way that's intrinsically meaningful to them.

By giving students prompted personalized journals, we're helping them cultivate their writing skills, and we're also tapping into their social emotional needs.

This isn't just some journal that Ms. is making them write, this is something personal to them. From the cover design, to the prompts they choose to answer, to what they do with them after, it's all up to them. And provided for them by donors like yourself.

Most of my students don't have the resources to buy school supplies, so providing everything for them is my personal mission. It can be quite expensive, and I can't do it alone. We'll use these journals every day and by the end of the year, students will have a personalized time capsule to look back on from their Senior Year of high school.
