This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I work at a charter school that allows teachers to be creative with the design of instruction in the classroom where the sky is the limit. My students have a desire to be taught on an individual basis and meet them exactly where they are, then push them to excel in mathematics and personal finance.
My Project
Personal finance is such an important skill for all students to learn in school, but yet it is often not taught in schools. My goal is to give my student a strong foundation to be financially strong when going out to the workforce and knowing how to effectively manage their incomes to benefit them for their futures.
This classroom set of books will be used to supplement the curriculum that will be used and act as a springboard for discussions in the classroom.
In addition, by having supplemental text in class the students will get another perspective on effective financial habits.
