Persevering in Math

Help me give my students the supplementary curriculum, supplies (folders, post-its, pens, etc.), snacks, and materials to improve thinking and team work to encourage problem solving skills in math, as well as motivate them to persevere and learn.

My Project

Students will need more than just being told how to solve math problems. They need to be able to struggle and create their own conclusions about math concepts and problems. All students think differently, so allowing them to share and use their own way of thinking will motivate them to persevere as well as encourage them to use various ways to solve math problems. Students also want to learn things that will be useful to them when they become adults, such as personal finance; they want to know how to understand and file taxes. They want to know how financing and investing works. Allowing me to purchase material that will teach students these important skills will prepare students to make informed decisions with their own money.
