This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is in a low-income community. We have a large number of students in temporary and unstable housing situation. Many of students and their families face poverty. It is often a challenge for them to purchase feminine products.

Help our teens obtain period products, without having to ask, readily available in a cart in the girl's bathroom.

Though the main office will give a girl one pad in an emergency, the ones provided are not a comfortable size for pre-teens and teens. They are given only one, and they have to go to the office to ask, wasting valuable class time. Whether they need period roducts immediately, want to be prepared for when they do need them, or know a relative at home needs the products, we want to make these readily available.
