Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Young girls bodies are changing at an earlier and earlier age, and explaining these body changes can be difficult to elementary aged girls. Books will provide answers to sensitive questions by using kid friendly language. Guidance counselors will use these books to support lessons and have the books available as references for girls to read at anytime.

Feeling embarrassed about having your period in school and not knowing how to manage your period is very common in young girls.

Providing period products in school supports a healthy, positive attitude towards puberty. Providing sanitary holders will build more confidence and less embarrassment when leaving the classroom. Feminine wipes and pads will promote better hygiene throughout the day and provide a cleaner feeling.
