This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love the resilience and enthusiasm my students bring to the classroom every day. They are curious, compassionate, and eager to learn, but like many young people, they face barriers that can affect their educational experience. One such barrier is the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products, which can lead to missed school days and hinder their ability to participate fully in class activities.

Our project aims to foster period positivity and ensure that all students have access to menstrual essentials.

By removing the stigma and providing the necessary resources, we hope to create an inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. When students have access to menstrual hygiene products, it reduces anxiety and absenteeism, allowing them to focus on their studies without the distraction.

The resources I am requesting, such as pads, tampons, and underwear will make a profound difference in our students' lives. These items are not just about meeting physical needs they represent a commitment to our students' well-being & self-esteem. Access to these products will ensure that students can attend school regularly and participate fully, helping them to reach their academic potential.

What truly makes our students special is their diversity and the unique perspectives they bring to our school community. They come from various backgrounds and experiences, enriching our learning environment with their stories and insights. Our students are future leaders, innovators, and change-makers, and with the right support, there's no limit to what they can achieve.

By investing in their well-being through this project, we are investing in their futures and the positive impact they will have on the world. Thank you for supporting our incredible students and helping to create a more equitable and compassionate educational experience.
