Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Girls in our school are experiencing their menstrual cycle. This is a very sensitive topic and can take a hit on a young girl’s self esteem.

Period Panties are designed to be worn if you are not sure if you are going to start that day, or if your cycle is heavier than expected.

These panties can take embarrassment out of the picture for these girls. They will be kept in the nurses office and distributed as needed.

Additionally, students in my class are coming in from recess smelling less than their best after playing outside in the hot Spring weather. Deodorant is needed for some of the girls to keep them from being embarrassed about their body odors after playing in the hot sun.
