This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When students can’t afford menstrual products, they may miss school or struggle to concentrate in class. Providing these products ensures that all students, regardless of their economic situation, can participate fully in their education. By prioritizing menstrual equity, our school/community can set a positive example for others, demonstrating that we value the health and well-being of all students.

Students who don’t have to worry about accessing menstrual products can focus on their studies instead of managing discomfort or anxiety.

This leads to greater engagement in class discussions and activities.When students have reliable access to menstrual products, they’re less likely to miss school during their periods. This continuity in attendance helps them keep up with lessons and assignments, leading to better academic performance. When students feel secure about their health and hygiene, their overall mental well-being improves, which positively impacts their ability to learn.
