My Students

My students are a voracious group of learners.

We can best be described as "book sponges." We work hard together to learn new information and teach one another. Our school is located in an urban environment and our students are of high need. We believe that all students should be afforded the same quality of education and opportunities regardless of their economic status or situation. This school year we have been granted the opportunity to receive a laptop cart and an iPad cart. Utilizing technology as a tool for education is the way of the future. Students need to bring these 21st century tools into their everyday learning in order to prepare them for college and career. Each day in our classroom we work hard to encapsulate the big idea of what we are learning by integrating various methods as well as touching upon all learning styles and modalities. Technology allows us to reach all learners, touch all students' strengths, and approach their weaknesses in an innovative way.

My Project

We are asking for a donation of a laser jet printer and ink cartridges to add to our technology center. By having a printer in our classroom, we will be able to collaborate together as learners and publish our work. A printer will foster the work that we are doing with our new technology and allow us to share it with others. We are a group of well rounded hard working children who truly appreciate all that we have. Our school strives to meet the highest standards and have the highest level of education afforded to all children.

This donation will make a remarkable difference to our classroom.

Having a printer in our classroom will allow us to utilize the technology we have been afforded to the highest potential. We will be able to publish our work and share it with other students and our families. This donation will make a world of a difference to some very hardworking students and their very lucky teacher!
