This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a fairly new middle school orchestra teacher, I strive to provide my students with the best environment to learn and grow as I continue to learn more and improve my teaching skills, and our RCCBA's orchestra program as a whole. To enhance their experience and performance, I am seeking your support to acquire more of, and replace broken shoulder rests and rock stops with quality and long-lasting ones for our orchestra program.

Shoulder rests are essential for violin and viola players, helping them maintain proper posture, reduce discomfort, and prevent injury during long practice sessions and performances.

Rock stops are equally important for cello and bass players, ensuring their instruments remain stable on various surfaces, allowing for better focus on technique and expression.

Currently, many of our students are using makeshift or ill-fitting equipment, which can hinder their progress and enjoyment of playing. By providing quality shoulder rests and rock stops, you will be directly contributing to their musical development and overall confidence.
