My Students

My third-grade classroom is an exciting place for all students to learn and grow as scholars and citizens of a bigger world. They are taught and encouraged to work with others to challenge each other and themselves.

It is a place where differences are celebrated and supported.

As a class community, we understand that children learn in different ways and at different paces. With that understanding in mind, students work together in teams to leverage each student’s strengths to help each other learn and grow. Some students work best in groups, while others need some space to process information alone before engaging with others. Some students need hard copies of texts while others prefer digital or audio/visual access to those same or differentiated texts to best process and learn from them. The students are highly engaged in their learning and progress due to their input and investment in the process.

My Project

My students will use the tri-fold presentation folders to organize and access approaching, meeting, and exceeding standards work and exemplars. The "I Will Never Give Up" sticker badges purchased with the book certificates will motivate students to keep on keeping on. The mulicolored pens redeemed with the book certificates will be used to help color code work to be sure all expectations are met. The maze pens also redeemed with the book certificates will be utilized as special rewards for doing a-maz-ing work and put back into the a-maz-ing workers container at the end of each day for different students to utilize the next day. The mood mustache pencils and erasers will be given out as needed when students' pencils break or get misplaced. The bar magnets and library envelopes will help keep my students self-manage time and materials by visually keeping track and monitoring their progress by moving their magnet and pop sticks over to the next area or envelope.

Students will use the requested pens, pencils, and presentation folders with pockets along with the other requested items to produce and perfect their work by having the materials they need to be successful and organized.
