Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a wonderfully diverse group of learners that sometimes come from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a new teacher, I want to give them a wonderful classroom experience by providing them with tools, resources, and a fun classroom environment to enhance their learning. Additionally, I want to make the classroom environment fun and engaging for them, so I want to make sure the room is bright, beautiful, and has various visual elements that appeal to their learning.

My Project

As an English class, we go through A TON of classroom supplies such as pencils and erasers. My students are doing grammar work, cursive writing, summaries, and more in the class- which needs a lot of pencils and plenty of erasing! I want to restock my classroom with pencils, erasers, and pencil sharpeners so that even students who do not have enough resources at home can still have the school supplies they need.

Additionally, I have added student incentives such as fun erasers to keep them motivated, bracelets for their birthday, and Expo cleaning spray because our whiteboards are very busy and get dirty quite quickly!
