Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 2nd grade is full of motivated and talented students. I work in the South Bronx, ground zero for inner city poverty where some of our students live in shelters. My kids come from a tough neighborhood and many come from tough circumstances. I teach them that no matter where they live, who their teacher, principal or president is they are the ones that control their path to success. This project will give my class the basics we need to run a smooth operation while making dreams come true in what many may call the hood. We are on the front lines of American education and it’s shortcomings so having basic things like pencils, copy paper, markers just makes our lives that much easier so we can focus on teaching, inspiring and thriving! Thank you to those that donate we truly all appreciate the love!
