Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

COVID-19 is still having an impact on our students. They are struggling to connect with the classroom and lack the motivation to want to succeed. Small obstacles become roadblocks. By providing basic classroom supplies for students, I am creating a classroom environment that simply allows them to show up as they are and be prepared. Anything I can do to help them see a small obstacle as something minor with a solution, I will happily do.

Students are still working on finding their voices.

Candy is one of the best motivators for student involvement. Once one student gets candy for an answer, student's hands fly.
