My Students

Our school serves students from grades 6-8 and integrates a rigorous academic schedule with arts education. As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools every year. Part of what makes this school so special is that students travel from all 5 boroughs to attend this school and audition into a talent, be it vocal, dance, drama, writing, math, strings, band, and etc.

My students' passion for singing and performing inspires me each and everyday.

I am humbled to be their teacher and hope to inspire the next generation of musicians and artists, as my teachers did for me.

My Project

Students will use the materials daily in our choir rehearsals and to print out their homework assignments, classwork, and notices. They won't have to worry about getting supplies on their own or spend 10 minutes asking to borrow supplies from others!

My students use pencils everyday for filling in notes in their music, and to write in their solfege.

In addition, students use the classroom printer to print out their homework assignments (for various classes). In addition, my students use markers to highlight their work, and decorate their projects. These supplies will enable my students to be prepared to participate and learn. This will help students have a learning environment and classroom where their financial means is not an impediment for success.
