It is hard to have students work with dull and broken pencils. Cheap pencils break very easily and don't last long. The school supplies cheap low quality pencils and the sharpener we have is an old hand crank and an old electric sharpener that over heats after a few pencils. Please help!
I teach at a Title 1 school which is a high poverty school.
The school has 50% transition rate, which mean half of students move during the year. Most of my class is from single parent homes and quite a few are living with grandparents. We could use your help.
My Project
I have to convince you to donate pencils and a class sharpener with 250 words. A simple thing like quality pencil and sharpener is truly NEEDED. Imagine children getting frustrated with their pencil breaking and when they try to sharpen it, they can't. Please help.
Your donation will make students day so much better.
They won't spend as much time with pencils that break easily and spend that time learning. They will also love using the new sharpeners that will sharpen their pencils quickly without frustration. I know this is a little thing and many people take things like this for granted but this will mean so much for theses students.
