My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

These students struggle in their day to day lives outside of the classroom.

The classroom provides a safe haven for learning and growing. They are always grateful for help from outside sources, knowing that it gives them a chance to succeed.

My Project

Can you imagine not having basic school supplies? Kids are who are part of my classroom show up without any school supplies because their parents can't afford them. I have a constant need for pencils and erasers in my classroom. We have a routine that ensures pencils are accounted for, yet we still struggle to keep a supply. I think the idea of not having enough pencils for a group of students is not right. I've been buying pencils for classroom and it adds up. I need help supplying my room with pencils. I look forward to being able to alleviate this problem by this project being funded. Thank you for the support.
